Built in Halifax by Prime Contractor, Irving Shipbuilding, the new Canadian Surface Combatant will be the world’s most advanced and modern combat ship. Equipped with next generation technology, it will support the men and women of the Royal Canadian Navy as they fulfill their wide range of missions around the world for the next 30+ years.
Lockheed Martin Canada is partnered with BAE Systems, CAE, L3Harris, MDA and Ultra Electronics to design the most advanced and modern warship, the Global Combat Ship, for the Royal Canadian Navy. The solution features high-tech platform innovations from prominent Canadian companies including Lockheed Martin Canada’s internationally renowned and Canadian-developed combat management system, CMS 330.
The design team brings a wide Canadian footprint, employing a combined 9,000 Canadians in 40 facilities from coast to coast and engaging a Canadian supply chain of more than 4,000 small and medium sized enterprises.
